Tom Larkin - 2005 Country Coach Employee of the Year
The Country Coach Employee of the Year Award is a prestigious award, presented to the employee with the preeminent combination of attitude, aptitude and attendance. Country Coach has awarded Tom Larkin as the 2005 Employee of the Year. Tom has distinguished himself as a richly deserving recipient.
Tom is a key player within the Purchasing Department at Country Coach. His motivation and effectiveness as a buyer are evident in his strong relationships with co-workers and vendors. Even from the beginning of his career here at CCI, Managers and Vice Presidents alike noticed his sense of humor and his knowledge of the entire RV industry as critical components to his success.
When Tom is not here at work giving, he spends time with his wife of 13 years, Mary Ann. Tom is a water sport enthusiast, participating in kayaking, swimming and water skiing. When on land, he enjoys racquetball, golf, softball and reading.
Tom is a friendly, dedicated, enthusiastic and talented guy. His skills and experience have lifted the Purchasing Department to a level of success that is necessary for Country Coach to achieve the goals needed to truly be the manufacturer of The World’s Finest Motorcoach. Tom was presented with his award by Company President Jay Howard and Vice President of Manufacturing Ed Read.
Congratulations, Tom Larkin, the 2005 Employee of the Year.

Country Coach Hosts Employee Summer Picnic
Country Coach, Inc. hosted its Summer Picnic on Saturday, July 8th with nearly 3,000 employees and family members in attendance. During this all-day summer event from 10am-5pm at the Lane Events Center in Eugene, Oregon the company treated its employees and their families to non-stop entertainment, games, live music, refreshments and door prizes.
Johnny Limbo and the Lugnuts, a popular Portland, Oregon band, and the Eugene area favorite, The Valley Boys, performed throughout the day. The day’s agenda also included plenty of opportunity for play time, with horseshoe pits, volleyball and basketball courts, Country Coach Olympic games for the adults, and an entire section of the picnic site dedicated to the children, including large inflatable play structures, face painters, children’s crafts, clowns, and more.
A water misting tent was a popular and well-used feature as the temperatures soared to the upper-80’s, and a first aid station dispensed ice water throughout the day. A barbecued chicken and hamburgers lunch, with corn on the cob and all the fixings of a traditional picnic was served. Sno-cones, hot dogs, soft drinks, and cotton candy were enjoyed throughout the event.
Many wonderful prizes were awarded to CC employees throughout the event, all generously donated by valued Country Coach suppliers and vendors. Two lucky employees won 7-day Mexican cruises.
Country Coach is celebrating over 33 years of manufacturing excellence in the highline motorcoach industry. The company recognizes that it is the outstanding men and women who build these coaches that have helped establish Country Coach as The World’s Finest Motorcoaches on the road today. The picnic event was one way that the Company has chosen to say, “Thank you for a job well done.”
